This is a great basket for entertaining. You put your bread, chip, whatever in it and enjoy. Do not worry about ruining your basket with the oil from the food! After you are done just pull out the bandana and wash and reinsert. You rarely even have to iron the bandana. Depending on the colors you choose you can buy additional bandana and change the basket completely. I can do red, black,green.purple,brown.blue,pink, orange and combos. Themes can be a sport team or whatever tie on I can match to you.

Joan has been commercially making baskets and many other crafts since 2005. She has won many awards for her weaving at art shows including Basket of the Year at the Maryland State Fair. This is a GREAT basket! I designed it for a horsewoman who wanted a basket to carry and store her helmet, boots and other riding geer all in one place. It is stunning and a real work horse! It is completely handmade by me using weaving techniques that are centuries old without the use of nails, staples or glue. The straps are longer than most of my baskets to allow to carry a heavy bulky load on your shoulder. I can make this with other tie ons if you are not a horse person. The reed is handdyed so there are natural variations. Each basket is hand shaped so everyone is a unique piece of useable art. I hand stain each basket with Danish wood oil to keep the basket clean and give it a life time of use.

I do not take returns...but will repair a basket if the owner pays for all shipping costs.

I made this for a customer who hated looking at her dishsoap bottle. I truly thought it was the silliest thing I had ever made! But it is incredibly popular and I cannot keep them in stock. It is very cute and clever. I would take credit for it, but it was a customer's idea...so she is the clever one! It is handmade and shaped around the dishsoap bottle, which is included. The bottle can be removed to refill. Each one is hand formed so each is a unique piece of useable art. There are no nails, staples or glue in the construction. I only use centuries old weaving techniques. It is hand stained with Danish oil to keep the baske tclean and provide it with a long life.

This is a gorgeous basket. If you have junk (dangerous and unattractive) piled on the stairs to be carried up or down this is the helper you need! It fits on the stairs and looks nice and when it is full (or not) you easily carry everything up without dropping anything. I have one at the top and one at the bottom of my stairs to eliminate both piles.I make it fit standard stairs...but can customize it to stairs in older homes...I need the width of the stair (where your foot goes) and the rise of the stair. Each basket is handmade by me and I make a very fancy handle in a variety of weaves that are rarely the same. I can put color into the basket but encourage you not to have it as if you move or change your decor the basket will not match. Each basket is made by me using century old techniques that do not include any nails, staples or glue.

My state quarter baskets are awesome. I will do any state you want. These have been the basis of many custom baskets for museums, municipalities and county governments. The wood base is hand cut to feature the outline of the state chosen. The state quarter is fitted into a hole that is so tight there is no glue...It can be removed if desired by poking a paperclip into the tiny hole in the back. The basket is woven using century old techniques involving no nails, glue or staples. The danish oil finish protects the basket for a life time of use requiring only annual spraying with cold water to clean and hydrate. This is an extremely popular basket for hanging on the wall, serving bread etc. Men seem to LOVE it for emptying their pockets into. People want the state they were born in, went to school in, married in , live in etc etc etc.
